The Program

U8 is a 1-day, full day entry level race program with no travel required.  The emphasis is on creating a fun filled environment to improve skiing skills and introduce racing skills.  There will be a home race event and a Sapling Session to introduce terrain based learning – dates TBA.  *All racers must have a valid Terrain Park Pass.
 

SKILL ABILITY – Program participants are graduates of the Trailblazers/U7 Program, or, are comfortable skiing independently (without following another skier) on Blue terrain at Caledon with some speed.  They must also be able to ski in control on steeper terrain and are able to load/unload chairlifts with minimal assistance.  Here is a VIDEO EXAMPLE of a U8 level skier.
 

MEETING LOCATION – Program drop off and pick up is at the West Lodge – by the wood shed. Students are required to be picked up from class by a parent/guardian at lunch and at the end of class.
